The poor weather conditions at Oakmont Country Club got the better of most of the competitors at the 2025 U.S. Open during Sunday's final round, but J.J. Spaun overcame the challenge with a late surge to win his first career major.

Adam Scott believes he needs another major title to boost his World Golf Hall of Fame credentials and while the Australian was in the hunt during Sunday's final round at the U.S. Open his challenge faded as conditions became tougher in heavy rain.

For the better part of the past two decades, Paula Creamer’s golf career has been beset by injuries. Even when she won the 2010 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, it was with a heavily taped, surgically repaired left thumb.

The 2025 U.S. Open started with 14 LIV Golf players in the field at Oakmont Country Club. Only six made the cut (which was 7 over), among those a pair of past champions who couldn't get into contention on the weekend.
