Top diplomats from Britain, France and Germany met with Iran’s foreign minister in a last-ditch effort to avoid escalation in the Israel-Iran conflict.

European officials urged Iran to restrict its nuclear program to prevent the U.S. from joining Israel’s attacks but President Donald Trump called the meeting unhelpful.
