Investigators say the shooting happened while vehicles were driving through the park, though the exact circumstances and how many people were involved are unknown.

Police are investigating a shooting in north Minneapolis Monday afternoon that left an 11-year-old boy dead. A neighbor found the boy, put in him his car and was met by an officer on the way to the hospital.

Minneapolis Police say the boy was in the driveway at Folwell Park at around 2 p.m. Monday when shots were fired.
