Chicago is in store for more “dangerously hot and humid conditions” Sunday, with temperatures expected to climb well into the 90s, the National Weather Service cautioned. An extreme heat warning

As a cold front approaches the area this evening, a few thunderstorms will fire up in western Siouxland as early as 5pm. A chance for storms will continue west of I-29 into the early overnight hours. Strong to severe storms cannot be ruled out. The primary threats are damaging wind and hail, but a quick spin-up tornado cannot be ruled out.
