Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s campaign denied a report claiming he will drop out of New York City’s mayoral race after suffering a devastating loss during the Democratic primary to socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani.

Democratic socialist and assemblyman Zohran Mamdani has taken the lead in the NYC mayoral primary race for the Democratic party. Mamdani, who has already ecieved over 40 percent of the vote, was named the leading candidate after former governor Andrew Cumo conceded.

After losing the Democratic primary, former NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo will stay on NYC mayor's race ballot in November, competing against four others.
