U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams said state Attorney General James Uthmeier snubbed her order barring enforcement of a new Florida immigration law.

Authorities can’t enforce a new Florida law making it a misdemeanor for people in the U.S. illegally to enter the state while the law is being challenged in court.

Litigants cannot change the plain meaning of words as it suits them, especially when conveying a court’s clear and unambiguous order,” the Miami judge wrote in her contempt order.
