Lions head coach Dan Campbell provided further updates on several injured players ahead of the team's training camp practice in Allen Park on Tuesday.

ALLEN PARK -- Second-year Detroit Lions running back Sione Vaki exited Monday’s practice early with what team officials are calling a leg injury.

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell offered several injury updates on notable players, including on linebacker Alex Anzalone, who is dealing with a hamstring injury.

Detroit Lions cornerback Ennis Rakestraw avoided a worst-case scenario after leaving the practice field Sunday with a chest injury.

"I’ve got a little thing on my board, ‘You can’t let anything sway your identity or what you want to become. You can’t let the fear of injury change the way you prepare.’"

Detroit Lions linebacker and team captain Alex Anzalone is at training camp this week, but he's frustrated with how his contract negotiations with the front office are going.

The injury bug has already bitten a member of the Detroit Lions’ defense, with defensive tackle Levi Onwuzurike set to miss at least the first four games of the 2025 season after being placed on the reserve Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.

"Probably, call it a month after he signed, a month and a half, somewhere in there, knee’s bothering him. We keep working through it and it’s not getting any better."
